Kindergarten Graduation

Ethan "graduated" from kindergarten in May. Personally for me, it was a very sad day, but Ethan went around telling everyone that he was a "first grader now"! His teacher, Mrs. Barnes was the epitome of a Christian teacher. I wish that she would move up with Ethan throughout his school years because our family absolutely adore her. Ethan received an award for "A" Honor Roll and Punctuality. He has learned so much coming out of kindergarten. Not only can he read and write cursive, but he came away with memorizing several scriptures. Coupled with AWANA verses, this kid can spit out some scripture! He has said for the last two years that he wants to be a Preacher and a tennis player, so who knows!

Ballerina

Emerson took ballet from September 2010 until May 2011. She didn't love it, but she danced beautifully none the less. She participated in her first dance recital and totally rocked her routine. We have taken a break this year from it, but who knows what next year holds. Don't get me wrong, she loves her babies and all things girly, but I have a feeling that my little girl will not be afraid to get dirty!

Six Months

I have lots of posts to catch up on, but I thought I'd start with six months of Eden. Eden was by far my earliest and smallest baby, however, she has caught up with my other two and then some! She is now my biggest baby at six months and she is oh so sweet! Today would have been my father's 55th birthday and I know he would have loved his grandchildren so much. Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

It is Chris' 37th birthday today. It happened to fall on his Wednesday afternoon off, so he and Ethan went fishing and shot their new BB gun. I was a bit nervous about the gun part, but Chris said he is an excellent marksman! We then had dinner followed by an illusionist at our church. I think Chris enjoyed his day spent with his family! Oh, and I obviously do not have a number 7 candle yet, so we improvised. :)

Super Family

I love my family so much. I cannot imagine life without them. Somehow, I convinced Chris to let me take pictures of him and the children in their superman shirts back in February. To say he was none too pleased is an understatement. I thought some of them turned out really cute even if I didn't realize that Emerson was cross eyed in most of them.

Chickenman

Back in January, we made a visit to my mom's house for the weekend. We went to visit Grandpa John and Grandma Leda while we were there. John (aka, Chickenman as Leda calls him) has been raising chickens for a while now and it just so happens that while we were there, he had just gotten baby chicks. The kids were elated! Their house is such a fun place for kids. They fed the chickens, held the chicks, collected eggs and ran up and down their huge hills. I did not get any pictures, but we visited again in March and he had "Easter" chicks. They lay different color eggs. They are not quite old enough to lay them yet, but we at least got to visit with them. :)
