Where's your nose? Ah, forget it.

Even though Ethan looks less than thrilled in these pictures, he is the who wanted me to take them to show his daddy. He got dressed up in silly clothes and his ear muffs from the monster truck show. The video is self explanatory. Of course Emerson would not show us where her nose is, but do they ever when you're trying to video them?

A few more...

I went to Sam's Club on Emerson's birthday to have all of my pictures printed so I could delete my memory card for her party. The pictures in the web album are some that I didn't have a chance to post on here. My sister designed a really cute t-shirt for Emerson to wear on her birthday, so she wore it the first half of the day. I've written captions in some of the other pictures.

Beach Bound!

My mom ended up staying the week with us, which was really nice. The kids pretty much forget that I exist when she's around, which is also nice for a little while!! We went to Holden Beach for the first part of the week (one night), although I didn't take any pictures while we were there. Then on Thursday morning, we went to Myrtle Beach, SC. The weather was very cooperative, thank God. It rained on Saturday as we were leaving. My mom and RT took Ethan miniature golfing and he LOVED it. I had to put Emerson to sleep, so I wasn't able to go with them. I'm sad that Chris and I were not able to watch his first time golfing! We'll have plenty of opportunity for that though!

Happy 1st Birthday Emerson!

My little baby girl celebrated her first birthday on Saturday. We had a cookout at our house. Everything went well. Emerson could have cared less about opening gifts of course, so I was left to open them. All of the other children took turns opening her gifts. There are lots of pictures and one video in the web album.

I think my sister would be proud!

I got the idea for this picture at Ethan's graduation. The teachers had taken each child's hand print and turned them into a fish/crab. I've always had a passion for painting even though I have no talent. I've always wanted to try it anyway, so here's my first work of art!

Summer Days...

I wish that this picture came out a bit more clear, but they were watching the rain together.
Alex and Caroline came over to play today. They had a blast, but it was HOT out. We lasted about an hour out there, but had to come in a finish our popsicles!

Happy 3rd and 4th of July!

I hope everyone had a nice holiday. We celebrated with a BBQ with Chris' family on the 3rd. Our neighborhood had a social at the lake with watermelon, drinks and light up necklaces/bracelets and bouncy balls for the kids. You can see the fireworks over the lake, so patriotic music was played while we watched. It was really nice. The Turners and Lancasters came with us. On July 4th we went to White Lake and watched with our good friends, Jason & Sherry Bethea and their family. Chris and Jason entertained the children with their own store bought fireworks. Yeah, pretty scary! After that we went to Chris' brothers house to visit with them for a few minutes. The kids fell asleep as soon as we left there. I've uploaded photos of each day and they're in separate albums.
