Banana Bread
Things have been pretty quiet around L'town this past week. However, I came down with some sort of flu on Monday and have been out of commission until today. Chris really stepped up to the plate though. He really is a great father. This morning was quite a struggle, but I made it! I'm feeling much, much better now. There are a few pictures of Ethan and I baking some of my grandmothers wonderful banana bread. Aren't I getting domestic? I know you're all so impressed! Ethan loves helping out in the kitchen. Grammy would have loved the phone call from me asking if it was okay that I accidentally put in a tablespoon of baking soda instead of a teaspoon. Oops! I can't believe that it's been 2 1/2 years since she's been gone. I miss her all the time. Today was another reminder of how short life is because it's the anniversary of my fathers death. 23 years ago today. He was 29 years old. I was just 3 years older than Ethan is now. Unbelievable. I've posted some pictures in the web album as well as a video from this morning.

THIRTY!
Heath, Mandy and Drew came over Saturday night to celebrate my birthday a day early. Ethan and Chris went out and bought me a cake. Ethan loves birthdays! He and Drew LOVE birthday cake! Yesterday we went to Fayetteville to look for some furniture for a few hours. Birthday's just aren't what they were when we were little, are they? They are definitely for the young! I was doing my normal stuff PLUS cleaning up vomit. Fun, fun. I am happy to say that at 30, my life is not where I thought it would be, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have the best children a mother could ask for. Happy Birthday to me. :)

Happy New Year to Mii!
We spent our New Year's Eve with Mandy and Heath playing the Wii. Ethan got in on the action too, but was bored very quickly. I had him nap today so that he could stay up with us and watch the ball drop. He hung in there until about 11:55. We had to drag him out of bed to come and watch it. Not Emerson. She would NOT go to sleep. I started around 9:00 with her. She would not stop screaming! I guess she didn't want to miss all the fun! Happy New Year!
