We went to Planet Fun on Thursday for the first time and had a blast! The kids (even Emerson) specifically enjoyed Laser Tag. We met my friends, Kim, Janice and Nathalie and had five kids total. This is definitely something Chris will have to take Ethan back to. The entire time I was there, I was wishing that Chris was too. He loves arcade type places and so does Ethan.

Carowinds
We took the kids to Carowinds on Saturday along with my mom, RT, and The Langley's. Chris had a graduation to attend in the morning, so he got there around 4:00. It worked out because he does not like water activities and it was too hot to ride anything until that point anyway. We originally planned to attend Sonfest, but accidentally bought the wrong tickets. I would love to see that show, but I am actually thankful that we did not have to sit through a concert in that heat. It was incredibly hot! I was unable to ride most of the rides because they would not allow pregnant women to ride, so Wade and Amanda took Ethan and Emerson on most of them, along with Chris. We are very thankful not only having them at Carowinds, but having them such a big part of our daily lives.
On Sunday, we slept in and then went to a local park in Rock Hill that is gorgeous. Again, it was so hot that we only stayed for about 30 minutes. I was able to get some great pictures of the kids with Grammy though. They love her so much and hated to leave! As usual, lots of photos are in the album.

AWANA Awards Ceremony
We had our awards ceremony for AWANA on Wednesday night. Unfortunately, I was unable to get any pictures of Ethan receiving his awards because being leaders, we were on stage with the children. This was our first ceremony, so I did not know what to expect. Had I known we would be on stage, I would have given my camera to Glenn or Ella. Ethan was the only child in our class to receive two awards for completing two books. He thought he was something! Here are a few pictures that I took when we got home from the ceremony.

Where Dreams Come True
Oh, how I love Disneyworld, so we decided to take another trip there this year. We went to two parks and just hung out the rest of the time. It was so wonderful. The pools and lazy rivers at the resort were great. There were lots of activities for the children to do, but they mostly just swam. When we visited Orlando almost two years ago, we did not go to Hollywood Studios, so we went there and to Magic Kingdom. We booked the trip so late in the game that it was hard to get in some character dining. The options were very limited, so we ended up eating with Handy Manny and Little Einstein characters at Hollywood Studios. It was nothing compared to Animal Kingdom, but the kids liked it. Ethan was able to ride almost every ride at both parks. I could not believe that my little boy rode those fast and scary rides. He even rode Space Mountain! He is growing up so fast. Emerson's favorite thing was meeting Mickey and Minnie. I thought it would be the princesses, but she was very scared of them once we got in there. However, every other character that had their face covered was no problem. Go figure. As usual, I took tons of pictures that are in the album as well as videos.

Tea Party 2010
Exploration Station's biggest fundraiser was Tuesday. The Prissy Polka Dilly Tea Party is for little girls and their favorite big girls. We went last year and had a great time, but I had no intentions of going this year since I have not been feeling well. Oh yeah, I'm pregnant! Everyone knows this, so I didn't feel the need to blog about it! The only way to get me there depended on whether or not Ella wanted to go. I just knew that she would love it since she is so prissy! She was super excited to go, so we went!
My friend, Ashley, rolled Emerson's hair again this year and she looked gorgeous. Emerson wanted to know what we would do at the tea party, so I told her about getting her nails and make up done, the entertainment and all the desserts. This year Stacie had a few craft tables and a spa table. After we finished those, Emerson wanted to know where the make up and nail table was. I was prepared just in case and brought some quick dry nail polish, so the girls were happy.
We really had a great time and Emerson behaved so well. She was so excited with all the girly stuff surrounding her. It makes it all worth it when Chris came home last night and told me that his mom said that it was one of the best times of her life. I think we may make this an annual tradition with Grandma!

Over the Hills
While Chris went to Las Vegas, the kids and I went to my mother's house for the weekend. I brought their bikes (they pretty much go everywhere with us these days!) and Ethan enjoyed riding down her huge backyard full of hills. My mother also bought a slip n' slide for them. We had a great time, but were ready for Chris to get home. There are photos and a few videos in the album.
