Bragging Rights!

I've always put a lot of pride in myself for not bragging about my kids. I don't ever want to be one of "those" moms who brag or have to "one up" someone. There are moms in my life right now whose names shall remain anonymous. With that being said, I'm going to brag for a minute!

Ethan's last day of swim school was today. The instructor asked me at one point if he was really only three. I asked her after class why she asked that and she told me that his level of skill was amazing at his age. She mentioned to the other instructor that he and Kaitlyn were the only ones in the class who really could swim on their own. She also said that we should put him in competitive swimming! I'm so proud of my little guy! He doesn't wear his little shark float anymore. He jumps right in and swims away! I've added a few photos to the web album.

Water Park

Today is Ethan's last day of swim school. Yay! He has done great! After class yesterday, I took the kids to the water park. They had a really good time. Emerson was her usual independent self and Ethan was having fun exploring the new stuff. At one point he was pinned under the water by another boy. It's amazing how fast a mother reacts, even one this huge! I saw it happen, so he wasn't under long at all. I've also posted a few random videos. I was totally instigating Ethan in one of them so you could see Emerson's temper! We're off to swim school!

Swimming

Ethan started swim school this week. He is not thrilled about it, but we're getting there. He cried the first day for the entire class, but did every activity that they asked of him. Tuesday was better (only half the time). Wednesday was great until the end for about two seconds and today was AWESOME! I'm so proud of him! We have one more week left. His friend, Kaitlyn, is in his class (she's the little blonde girl), so I think that has helped. There are also a few pictures of the kids at Exploration Station. We're off to the pool!

Random shots...

There's not much to report, but I thought I'd share some pictures that I took yesterday. The pool opened for the summer, so I'll have pictures from there as well soon. Ethan starts swimming lessons next week. He's already like a fish, so I don't think he'll have any trouble. Hope everyone is well!

Beach Bums!

Mandy and I took the kids to the beach yesterday and had a blast! The boys jumped around in the surf and Emerson acted as if she had "done this before." She had absolutely NO FEAR of the ocean at all. She kept taking off straight in to the water. She'd get water in her face and keep on going back. The only time she cried was at naptime! I took lots of pictures (web album). Poor Chris is outnumbered by beach lovers in our family!

This is encouraging!

Emerson is obsessed with the vacuum cleaner. Looks like she's going to take after her Grandma Moore with that! If I want to vacuum in peace, I have to do it while she sleeps. Maybe one day she'll help me out! Enjoy the video!

Splish Splash!

Chris and I took the kids to the pool yesterday. Ethan has mastered the art of the diving board. People are amazed that this little three year old isn't scared to jump off of that thing. It's pretty high! He was very happy that his daddy came to watch him and play ping pong as well. Emerson had fun splashing around, but she wants to be able to do everything by herself. Miss Independent! We came home and all took a nap. We awoke to thunder and a trampoline in our backyard! Apparently the wind was pretty bad. We were out of power for a few hours. I have a few pictures in the web album that I took from the breakfast nook window so you can see it. It came from two houses down! Our neighbors are all very helpful and worked together to get it back home! Hope everyone is doing well.
